Kristin Firth was a fan of improv since she saw her first live show in college, but she
assumed the folks performing had been branded "comedians" at birth and she
couldn’t find her brandmark. Then she realized "hey you can take a class to learn
this stuff" and signed up for a week long "intensive" class and has been obsessive
about improv ever since. Kristin moved to New York for a year and a half and
studied and performed improv at all the major long-form theaters: The Upright
Citizens Brigade Theater, The Magnet, and The People’s Improv Theater. She also
studied acting, voice, and mask work with William Esper Studios. In New York she
was a member of Chantico Warfare and producer of their Indie Improv Amusement Hall
show. Some shows you may have seen Kristin in since she moved back to Austin
include A Sip of Chantico, Improv For Evil, Vinyl Destination, and mmmmK to name a
few. Currently she performs with Skipfield, as part of the two-person troupe
Firth & Arjet, and in the occasional Saturday night Maestro.
