| Skipfield is ...? | ||||
|
Wikipedia says that skip field recording is a process in which only one field of video is recorded in order to conserve recording media space. We of Skipfield are still trying to figure out exactly what that means, because to us, Skipfield is a field where you can skip. We’ve heard it sounds like some wealthy baron's family name, but we've been hard pressed to find anybody whose name is actually Skipfield. Are there actually Skipfields of this world, besides us? If you find one, tell us about it. Meanwhile, Skipfield is obviously a field through which those who wish to skip may skip gaily and freely and unabashedly. Some of us believe that no matter what kind of day you're having, once you enter Skipfield, you absolutely must skip (gaily and freely and unabashed). That's what Skipfield is. That's who we are. Kristin and Jeff might have found Skipfield first when they shared a nice heart-to-heart at an AIC party last November. They found that their love for improv was big, and their goals for an improv troupe were similar. Erik and Jerry and Teresa arrived at Skipfied soon afterwards, and everything had fallen into place in the way that wholesome projects that are supposed to happen often do. Finally, with a new Skipfield all to ourselves, we sat back down around a Skipfield fire with some semi-fancy cigars and dug that we'd made a meaningful investment in time and space. Skipfield extends fantastic gratitude to Kareem and Roy of PGraph, fine friends and funny aces of improv. They've raised us as their own, and we couldn't have asked for better teachers. And all of us now look forward to discovering what Skipfield means to you, and to everyone else in the whole world. |
